Air Tarentaise, Paragliding School, takes you along the various stages of your project and offers a wide range of services to meet your demands.
Our school is based at Landry in Savoie, near Albertville, Chambéry, and the Annecy area, which gives us fast access to all the take-off areas of the valley.
The Tarentaise Valley is an area protected by the high massifs and allows flying almost every day, far from overcrowded sites. Over 30 take offs are accessible at the foot of the ski resorts of Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, and La Plagne, with possibility of flying over 2,000m from the ground!
A member of the French Federation for Free Flight (FFVL) and certified as Free Flight French School (EFVL), Air Tarentaise offers technical guidance all year long to guarantee a regular hobby, monitored learning, and acquiring a solid aeronautical culture.

This training cycle should be able to bring you to a level of “Initial Certificate” or “Pilot Certificate” depending on your starting level.

And for the Pilot License, fly on any type of site, choose your site according to the conditions of the day and fly independently in ascending conditions.

Start learning to fly a paraglider on the ground and makeyour first major solo flights. But the philosophy is different from the classic initiation course becausewe will get up early for the first big flights and will walk to reach a summit to fly back down. The altitude difference is between 1000 and 1500 meters with 3 to 4 hours of morning walking, a good level of walking is required.
